Spring Meridian House Wedding in Washington, DC

It’s no secret that Washington, DC is full of stunning wedding venues. Like most wedding professionals, we all have our favorites — mine include DAR Constitution Hall, the Hay Adams, the Anderson House, Cosmos Club, and, of course, the Meridian House! (You can view my full list of best DC wedding venues here!) A & S selected the Meridian House for their special day and it could not have been a more perfect backdrop for a March wedding. See, spring in DC is quite unpredictable. It’s not usually under mid-April that the trees and flowers really come to life. And don’t even get me started on the weather — it can be 70 degrees one day and 45 the next! Luckily for A & S, we were treated to an unseasonably warm day for early March. There was a threat of rain, so the ceremony was moved to a beautiful indoor backup option, but it never showed up which allowed guests to enjoy an outdoor cocktail hour.

The entire wedding was flawlessly executed by Aimee Griffin and her team. Aimee is one of those planners that you see on the vendor list and a smile immediately comes across your face. Not only is she a kind and calming presence, but she makes a wedding day easier for the couple AND their team. I love that her focus is on the day as a whole and combines planning a beautifully styled event alongside ensuring it flows without any interruptions. As you can see in the images below it was truly a special Meridian House wedding and was such a joy to document for A & S!
