Kendra and Ben celebrated their marriage this summer in a gorgeous Cosmos Club wedding in Washington, DC. This historic venue in the District of Columbia has no shortage of stunning spaces; these two opted to have their ceremony in the East Garden, while saving the iconic ballroom for their dinner reception and dancing.
This couple, along with the guidance from one of my all-time favorite planners, Tabitha, of Roberts and Co. Events, developed a vision for their wedding day details that involved a citrus-infusion color scheme as well as a gentle play on word ‘cosmos’. The result paired beautifully against the subtle pops of color from the curtains inside the Cosmos Club’s otherwise gold and cream ballroom.
If you’ve been following the blog for anytime, you may remember Kendra and Ben from their elopement last year. Exactly one year prior, they tied the knot in a self-officiated DC wedding at the Spanish Steps. Being only a few block away from the Cosmos Club, we returned to this spot for additional couples portraits as a sweet nod to their original date. Despite the torrential rain earlier in the day, the portraits unfolded perfectly and we even got The Bachelor treatment wit the wetted down pavement! I am always so grateful for couples who embrace the weather, whatever it may be, on their wedding day and are up for portraits rain or shine!
I hope you enjoy a little preview into this stunning Cosmos Club wedding in Washington, DC!
A huge thank you to these vendors for making Kendra & Ben’s wedding amazing! And to Rebekah Emily Photography for being an awesome second shooter!
