Elegant Black-Tie Anderson House Wedding in Washington, DC

Kate and Michael were married this summer in a beautiful Anderson House wedding in Washington, DC. This is, hands down, one of my favorite venues in the District for its stunning architecture, unique gardens, and exquisite staff. It was the perfect choice for a couple who exudes the same sort of timeless elegance, grace, and class.

At this point, it almost goes without mentioning that Kate and Michael’s wedding day was postponed a year. These two put the needs of those they love most above themselves and waited to tie the knot, in a smaller gathering, this August. Before the big day, they went so far as to ensure all their guests and vendors were vaccinated out of an abundance of caution for the safety of their loved ones. This allowed them to truly relax and enjoy the day that they had waited so long for.

And, it turned out, it was well worth the wait. Kate and Michael were married on a gorgeous August day in DC — clouds loomed in the forecast, but the rain never broke, allowing them to marry in the outdoor gardens of the Anderson House. Kate, a lover of all things royal, looked straight out of a fairytale with her lace Pronovias gown and loose curls as she walked down the aisle to meet Michael. The ceremony was officiated by the bride’s former employer, Judge Bredar, from Maryland District Court and the couple exchanged vows they had written themselves. The nuptials were followed by dinner and dancing in the Grand Ballroom to close out this perfect day.
