It was such an honor to capture this wedding portrait session for Emma and Michael at Great Marsh Estate in Bealeton, VA. These two are no stranger to the beautiful Great Marsh Estate — in fact, they were married here just a year prior! They returned for a post-wedding shoot and were the most fun couple to work with! These two were so clearly and naturally in love — no posing felt forced and very little direction was even required!
Emma wore a stunning lace gown with soft, chiffon skirt. Michael complemented her look in a light blue suit that looked like something straight out of the south — perhaps a sweet nod to their Charleston engagement and elopement?! Her chic updo and glamorous makeup was provided by Kristen C. Artistry. And the pastel florals ? Absolute showstoppers! I was completely mesmerized by the cascading floral arrangements that Intrigue Designs created for the front door of this gorgeous estate. Great Marsh Estate is stunning on its own, but everything is more elegant with a touch of flowers!
Great Marsh Estate weddings are some of my absolute favorites as this venue is a bit more off the beaten path; it allows you to get out of the busyness of DC. And don’t get me wrong — while I LOVE shooting in the District, and the fast pace of a city wedding, there is just something calming about a quiet county wedding while still having the FEEL of a chic city wedding! Keep scrolling to see exactly what I mean!
