National Museum of Women in the Arts Wedding

Maddy and Robbie celebrated their wedding day across DC, getting ready at The Willard InterContinental, followed by portraits at the DC War Memorial, then getting married at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Georgetown, and finally dancing the night away at the National Museum of Women in the Arts!

As a Washington, DC wedding photographer, I can tell you that traveling between multiple venues isn’t uncommon. In fact, if anything, is sort of the norm around here! The one thing out of the norm for their wedding date? DC was playing host to World Pride and the parade fell on their big day! Luckily, with Roberts and Co. at the helm, I didn’t stress that the movement between locations would be flawlessly executed. She and her fantastic team mapped alternative routes, away from the parade and crowds. At one point, Tabitha herself was hiking across the parade to get to the venue on time. This is why you hire experienced DC professionals! We’ve seen it all and aren’t phased by much!

The other piece of the puzzle that made this day a breeze? Maddy and Robbie, of course! They are one of those couples that are always calm and collected. I’m not sure what it would take to rattle these two, but I surely didn’t see it on their wedding day (which I think fares well for their marriage!).

As a treat for staying calm through such chaos? Maddy’s kind mom surprised her with some of the biggest celebrities in DC — the Nats Presidents, of course! Maddy and her guests lost their minds when Abe and Teddy showed up on the dance floor. It was the perfect end to a perfect day for this NMWA wedding!
