I’m so excited to share these editorial weddings from Cairnwood Estate in Philadelphia! I love exploring new wedding venues! There, of course, is something so comforting about one you’ve worked at a dozen times, but there is an excitement that comes with photographing some place new. The challenge with working at a venue again and again is that you always want it to FEEL different… but when you’re working at a new-to-you wedding venue, it’s always different! It can be hard, with SEO being king, to work at new venues outside of your main photography region. Sure, I work at new venues all the time in Charlottesville, Northern Virginia, and Washington, DC. However, Philly is outside of my main market — and full of their own talented vendors! — so oftentimes I would be missed in a search for here!

This is why when an opportunity arose to shoot at Cairnwood, I jumped at the chance. You see, this stunning wedding venue has been on my radar for a long time! As from their website, the Estate was designed in the Beaux Arts style with Greek, Roman, and French influences. Each room in this estate has a completely different color scheme, while all still blending perfectly together in the same overall vibe. There are so many unique spaces that it would almost be impossible for your guests to visit them all in just one day for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, so you’ll have to prioritize which are your favorites and save the rest for your first look or newlywed portraits!

FRONT ESTATE | The front of the estate is perhaps the most iconic part of this venue — it’s a grand entrance, to say the least!

GREEN ROOM | The green room is one of the first rooms upon entry — it’s a small room that would be perfect for cocktail hour!

BACK ESTATE | The back of the estate is equally as beautiful as the front — it’s lush with trees and greenery with a hint of the exterior texture.
