Alison & Trevor were married on a warm Saturday in June during their Willard InterContinental Hotel wedding in Washington, DC. I think there is often a misconception that a wedding in the District of Columbia has to be stressful. There are, after all, a lot of variables to consider: traffic, tourists, parades, and protests just to name a few. And each of these can contribute to a stressful event without proper planning. Luckily, Alison & Trevor hired the fantastic team of The Bright Occasions who made their day seamless from beginning to end. Despite driving all the way from the heart of the city (literally next door to the White House!), out to Virginia, and back, there wasn’t a single delay. Sure, some of that is just luck. But most of that is pure planning and the schedule was executed to a “t”.
It was June in Washington, DC which means one thing — heat and humidity! Despite this, Alison and Trevor didn’t mind stepping out to capture some stunning portraits at the front of the Willard InterContinental Hotel. We had to patiently wait out the crowds for busses and valet, but I love the results of their elegant photos. We, of course, popped back out at sunset and, this time, it felt like we had the city to ourselves.
Join me wishing a huge congratulations to this sweet couple and enjoy a peek at their gorgeous Willard InterContinental wedding photos!
A huge thank you to all the vendors that made this such a special day for Alison & Trevor!
