Private Estate Wedding in Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia

I have been so excited to share a peek into Dana & Anthony’s full wedding day! If you checked out the blog a few days ago, you likely saw the stunning rehearsal dinner and the fun casino night they hosted for their friends and family. Hopefully that was a small indication of what was to come on today’s post!

Anthony’s family purchased Houndtooth Manor on a lakefront property in The Plains. Over the course of several months, they renovated the land and buildings from head to toe, turning it into a jaw-dropping estate ready for their beautiful wedding day.

Guests were greeted with their signature cocktail upon arrival. They were then escorted to the fountain patio, where they could create a custom drink at the mimosa bar, complete with a variety of syrups and fruits to fit everyone’s taste. After chatting briefly, they headed down to the ceremony site overlooking the setting sun upon the lake. Following the couple’s nuptials, they entered the sailcloth tent to enjoy a variety of hand selected appetizers and music on the white baby grand piano that was practically dripping with florals.

All of that may sound incredible — and trust me it was! — but that was just the beginning!

Guests were seated for their al fresco reception beneath cafe lights that was next to a custom monogrammed bar. Dinner was served in elegant stations, including a raw bar and carving station, before heading to the cake swing to watch Dana & Anthony undertake their first task as man and wife. Dancing began shortly after, and when guests were tired they could enjoy a custom coffee and donut in their very own donut shop! Boozy shakes and late night snack also helped ensure guests never went hungry!

It truly was an amazing weekend from beginning to end and such a joy to document this lovely couple!
