St. Regis Wedding in Washington, DC

Monica and Kevin were wed in an intimate St. Regis wedding in Washington, DC. These two shared their special day with just their closest friends, as both their families were home in China due to travel restrictions. Thankfully, due to the internet, they were able to live stream the event so it was like they were there with them! Their parents even sent in words of wisdom that were read for all to hear at the ceremony.

Washington, DC St. Regis weddings are extremely special, as they are just minutes from the White House, adding an extra level of elegance to this already opulent venue. Monica and Kevin opted to host their ceremony and cocktail hour on the stunning Astor Terrace. It was the perfect fall day, without a cloud in sight!, and guests enjoyed mingling on terrace until joining in the ballroom for the reception.

Being self-proclaimed foodies, Monica and Kevin were both looking forward to the culinary aspect — the St. Regis catering staff certainly did not disappoint! The cocktail hour featured five passed hors d’ourves, each one more decadent than the last. Dinner was a five course meal consisting of sorbet, salad, lobster bisque, a fish or meat entree, and finally, of course, dessert! It was all plated *almost* too pretty to eat, but the delicious aromas filled the room and guests dined happily while catching up with one another!

The night was closed out with a few speeches and then heading back on to the Astor Terrace to bid the newlyweds well! I love photographing St. Regis weddings in Washington, DC and cannot wait to return!
