Megan and Anthony’s Pippin Hill wedding in Charlottesville, VA was one of the most perfect days this entire season. The entire event was designed and coordinated by the lovely Cody of Amore Event Co, along with the bride herself, who, to say is organized would be an understatement. Simply put, basically my dream team as detail-oriented vendors and couples speak my language.

From a stylistic point, it’s hard to find a spot prettier than Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyard in all of Virginia; this stunning venue boasts incredible mountain views, lush green vines, and the prettiest reception space. I recommended Cody and her team to Megan as no one know this space better; she has such a unique eye and despite designing event after event at Pippin, can somehow still make each and every one different from the last. The elegance of their Granary reception fit Megan’s style to a “t” and showed off the natural beauty of the space.

It was the weather, however, that really made this already amazing day just perfect. I think it’s safe to say that anyone planning a July wedding knows it’s going to be hot, with the chance of a summer storm rolling through in the evening. All week, Megan and I checked the weather endlessly and on the day-of, it certainly paid off. Somehow, these two were blessed with a perfect day in the low 80’s — IN JULY!! Clouds lingered throughout the ceremony but never broke. And just as her father wrapped up welcoming their guests, the sun peeked out to say hello and I couldn’t grab them fast enough to catch the last of the evening glow.

Trust me when I say, these two had it all: an intimate and personal outdoor ceremony officiated by their family; fun digging up bourbon with their wedding party; epic sunset portraits with the Blue Ridge mountains in the back; and a wild time on the dance floor thanks to Big Ray and the Kool Kats (Anthony’s father’s band!). I’ve had so much anticipation looking forward to this day and can say it lived up to all my expectations. Working with Megan and Anthony over the past year has been nothing short of an honor and the only “bad” part is it being over!
