Hay Adams & Jefferson Memorial Elopement

Diana and Jamie eloped in front of their closest friends and family earlier this month in Washington, DC. It was an unseasonably warm December day, which allowed for us to capture many stunning portraits across the District (without freezing as we usually would!). These two got ready at the Hay Adams, did portraits at the Jefferson Memorial and US Capitol, and, finally, were exchanged vows at Little Pearl. It was truly a classic DC wedding in all respects!

It was just earlier this year, in December, that Diana and Jamie met on a dating app. They felt a strong connection immediately, but around their third date, Diana found out that Jamie would be leaving for a work trip. And not just any work trip… but a three month job that would take him halfway around the world to Australia! As the relationship was still so new, they knew that this could make or break the connection they had just formed over the past few weeks. Luckily, Diana was able to arrange a three week trip to visit him while he was out of town, which only made their bond even stronger. They moved in with one another this past fall and it’s been nothing but bliss ever since.

Between of the two of them, they brought together five boys as well! Diana has four and Jamie has one, and seeing their developing relationship was such a sweet aspect of this day. It was clear how much everyone cares for one another and it was such a joy to document this beautiful day for this beautiful family. Enjoy a peek into their day below!
