Serena and Connor were married in a beautiful winter wedding at the Hay Adams hotel in Washington, DC. If you’ve never visited the Hay Adams, you must know that it is one of the premier hotels in the area for it’s stunning view overlooking the White House. Serena is the epitome of DC-chic, so this suited her to a “T”! They also decided to capture their formal portaits at the Jefferson Memorial, which I loved — their day was full of iconic DC venues! Not to mention their adorable pup, Louis, joined them for their first look at the Hay which you’ll see below! It really felt magical as they signed their ketubah with the sun setting over the White House behind them, a house that Serena had once dreamed of filling as a kid.
The wedding was planned by A. Griffin Events, one of my absolute favorite planning teams. It was captured just days before the holidays, so I love the small nods they included to the festive season that lie ahead. The lush white flowers popped against the golds and greenery that hung from the ceiling.
The couple also opted to skip a formal, seated dinner and do elevated stations instead. You could select from peking duck and hand-rolled sushi to fresh cut steak complemented by a side of crispy fries! They selected something for every palette.
Enjoy a peek into their special day!
A huge thank you to all the vendors that made this such a special day for Serena & Connor!
