Williamsburg Inn Wedding

Lauren and Russell were married is a gorgeous black-tie Kate Spade themed wedding at the Williamsburg Inn and Lodge in Virginia this fall. I’ve said it once and will say it again; September is one of my all time favorite months for weddings! The weather seems to always be perfect; finding that balance between summer and fall but without the threat of hurricane season. Their day was no exception to this and we had the most stunning blue skies and golden sunset for portraits.

From the moment I met Lauren, I could tell she was a girl after my own heart – after all, she is a fellow JMU alumni! But finally getting to see her vision in real life only further cemented that idea. Her attention to detail was apparent at every turn – not only did no detail go unnoticed, but everything was perfectly coordinated from the tablecloths and centerpieces down to the ribbon on her bouquets and boutonnieres. I’ve truly been looking forward to this wedding all year and it certainly didn’t disappoint. Both Lauren and her mom, Leslie, are so kind and clearly, also incredibly talented – these two need to start their own planning and design business together! Lauren was even so sweet to give ME a gift on her wedding day, which were, of course, the cutest Kate Spade earrings that I’ve already been wearing nonstop!

Lauren and Russell, I am so sad to know your wedding day has come and gone already — it feels like just yesterday we were meeting in Old Town with Cooper for your engagement session! Your day was everything I imagined and more, and I hope these images remind you of that over the coming years!
