Downtown Washington, DC Sunrise Engagement Session

A few weeks ago I met Denise and Neil in downtown Washington, DC at the reflecting pool in front of the Lincoln Memorial. These two opted for a traditional sunrise engagement session in the city, which was especially fitting since they share a quintessential DC love story.

Denise and Neil met in their last few weeks while attending undergrad at Georgetown University. She moved to NYC after graduating, so they were long distance at first, but ended up back in the District where they spent four years. In June of 2019, almost exactly a year ago, they were celebrating their 5-year reunion in front of the building where they first met when Neil droppd to one knee and asked Denise to marry him. She, of course, said yes, and their friends were waiting with a “Congratulations” banner to continue the celebration! They both headed back to school separately this past fall and hope to end up in the DC area, together, after graduation.

As Washington, DC is such an instrumental part of their story, they are planning to marry here next June, just two years after Neil proposed. The plan is for them to be wed at Neil’s church, St. Aloysius Gonzaga, and then spend the rest of the evening at the Army Navy Club with their closest friends and family. With Tabitha from Roberts and Co. leading the day, it’s sure to be one you won’t want to miss!
