You might remember Lauren’s gorgeous face from Colleen and Adam’s Hershey, PA wedding earlier this year — she was Colleen’s maid of honor and was just such a huge help to me all day throughout the wedding. It turns out, she wasn’t just a help to myself and Colleen, but to 2 other brides this year as well (and yes, she was MOH in ALL of those!!)! It’s crazy to imagine being in so many wedding in such a short amount of time, but the minute you meet Lauren, you’ll understand why. She truly has a heart made to serve others and is constantly putting everyone around her first. Not to mention her kind spirit and sweet laugh immediately put you at ease. So when Colleen e-mailed me about doing a session for Lauren, I couldn’t say yes fast enough — it was not only the perfect thank you gift, but was going to be such a fun, creative day with two girls I’ve loved getting to know over the past year!
Several years ago, Lauren inherited a few fur coats from her aunt in Amsterdam. She hadn’t had many opportunities to wear them, but always joked with her friends that one day she would have her own photoshoot for Vogue in those coats. Well, that’s exactly what Colleen dreamed up for her! After Lauren spent a year pampering three other girls, it was her turn to be in spotlight. They spent the afternoon curling her gorgeous hair and prepping her perfect makeup before we headed off for the shoot in her stunning black lace dress courtesy of Rent the Runway, of course. Our location just outside of Washington, DC truly made us feel like we had her on set for a huge editorial and to kick up a notch, the whole session was photographed on film!
