I was incredibly blessed during the 2015 season to work with so many amazing brides; normally wedding season slows down towards the end of October, but this year I had three November weddings and two December weddings on the books (last one is tomorrow — crazy!!). November has fickle weather, so I didn’t know what to expect for those wedding days, but I was certain that December in Washington, DC would not be kind to us for Kelly and Tom’s big day. Oh, I could not have been more wrong! The sun shined bright for these two, which, as we planned to walk around Old Town Alexandria for their portraits before returning to The Alexandrian Hotel for their reception, truly couldn’t have been more perfect. Even the Scottish Christmas Parade which shut down half of the town was completely out of sight by the time we needed to leave the hotel, as if all the stars aligned for these two. After many toasts cheers-ing to the incredible nature of this kind couple, the wedding night ended with a crowded dance floor begging for “one more song” to extend the celebration just a moment longer. It’s clear these two have an amazing group of friends who rallied around them the entire day.
Kelly and Tom, it’s been such a joy to work with you over the past year; I’ve certainly been looking forward to your wedding day and it did not disappoint! I hope you had an amazing honeymoon in Jamaica and enjoying married life!
A huge thank you to these vendors for making Kelly & Tom’s wedding amazing! And to Emily Marie Photography for being an awesome second shooter!
