Morgan and Fran met, these days, in the unlikeliest, of situations… in person! With so many couples meeting online, I find it’s becoming increasingly more rare to hear about couples who spoke for the first time face to face! Not to mention, they both said it was completely out of character for them; luckily fate was on their side. They both went to Whitlow’s that night with a friend, who started talking to one another. By default, these two ended up chatting and while their friends never spoke again, it ended in a lifelong relationship for these two!
It turns out, fate almost had them meet a few years prior. Up until the August before his freshman year, Fran was planning to attend JMU which Morgan was heading as well… he ended up at Wake Forest at the very last minute, but how crazy to think they could’ve crossed paths even sooner!? Fortunately, life brought them both back to the DC area where they ended up at Whitlow’s on that fateful night.
And, as if I couldn’t like these two more (hello, JMU grad and German shepherd owners!), I found out that Fran proposed to Morgan, in a simple, yet sweet moment in the privacy of their own apartment — exactly like Rob did when we got engaged! He said it just felt natural, which I loved, and that it was a complete surprise to his family who they met up with for a trivia night shortly after!
While these two are certainly navigating their engagement during a strange time in our world, we’re all very excited to celebrate the big day next June in the heart of DC at The Willard InterContinental! Now, keep scrolling to enjoy all the photos from their gorgeous sunrise engagement session in DC at the Lincoln Memorial, complete with a few featuring their sweet pup, Millie!
