There are some shoots that are the gift that keeps on giving. For me? That is a Provence inspired wedding that I pulled together several years ago at Oatlands Plantation in Leesburg, VA. This has been featured numerous times on several different major publications, including, Style Me Pretty, Martha Stewart Weddings, and BRIDES Magazine. It’s now being featured again with BRIDES in an article gathering several different lavender wedding ideas. Lavender, being one of the main exports of the Provincial region of France, made it a natural addition to our shoot while in the planning phase. It’s a statement piece that you want to use sparingly so that it can really pop against the rest of your decor. And as so eloquently stated in their article, having the added bonus that “lavender’s calming scent is said to aid with concentration, relaxation, sleep, and even helps to get rid of headaches which makes using this as part of your big day a no brainer. Because what bride couldn’t benefit from lavender’s calming effect as she’s walking down the aisle?”. I don’t know about you, but I’ll certainly cheers to that!
Don’t forget to head over the BRIDES to see the full feature for both of my images — I just love this shoot! Thank you again for the double feature and I can’t wait to see what brides and grooms this inspires in the future! If you’re using lavender in your wedding, be sure to tag us so we can see how you pulled it off!
Thank you to all the vendors who participated in this French Wedding Shoot and helped make it such an inspiration for future couples across so many platforms. You can find all of their contact information on the original blog post linked above — they are talented individuals and I highly recommend considering them as part of your wedding! Having an incredible team is what ensures a flawless day!
