It’s almost hard to believe that I started off my wedding season with not one, but two weddings in Old Town Alexandria! I’m no stranger to the area, as I’ve photographed more engagement sessions in this location than any other spot in the DMV! But in all my years of shooting, I’ve only captured one full wedding here at The Alexandrian Hotel. Trust me when I say, I’m certainly not complaining as I love the opportunity to photograph in new venues! And Ingrid and Colin’s Hollin Hall wedding allowed me just that, as we had so much fun exploring the ground of this beautiful mansion home and it’s surrounding gardens. I think you’ll agree when you see their portraits below that spring was showing off for us! Lush greens were aplenty, complemented by pops of pink and purple from blooming trees. It was truly the perfect time of year to have a wedding here and we were incredibly lucky that the rains held off long enough for them to enjoy an outdoor ceremony.
It turns out that luck doesn’t just come to Ingrid in the form of weather either. Earlier in the day I heard her saying that she was told it would be a perfect day because things always seem to go her way. She said that looking back on her life, she wouldn’t have really agreed with that until after she met Colin. Their relationship seemed to put her on their destined path and life just became easier with him in her corner. After saying “I do,” these two will have the unconditional support of one another for the rest of their lives, so I anticipate a life full of luck and love for this sweet pair!
A huge thank you to these vendors for making Ingrid & Colin’s wedding amazing! And to Rebekah for being an awesome second shooter!
