I was so excited when KC reached out to me about capturing their family this fall at the beautiful Manassas Battlefield Park! While you won’t see a ton of family photography on my blog as I only capture these for my past couples, I do love these sessions and cherish the extra time with past ALP couples! The last time these four were in front of my lens was just this past winter, for Harper’s newborn session, so I was even more excited to see her now that she was almost 8-months old! She’s already sitting, getting ready to crawl, and obsessed with her pup — a girl after my own heart!
As I mentioned above, I don’t normally do a ton of family photography, but this family’s session has almost made me reconsider! See, between sweet Harper and their adorable dog Monti, I was blessed with two models throughout the entire shoot. In fact, the only real issue was that Monti never wanted to STOP being in pictures — he is used to being in the limelight with me! KC and Andrew themselves are old pros, this being the sixth (!!) time they have been in front of my camera. It’s been such a special joy watching their family grow and seeing these two become parents. They couldn’t have flowed more naturally into their new roles as mom and dad. And while COVID may have stopped their travel plans for the year, I have no doubt they have a future world traveler on their hands!
Enjoy a peek into their sweet family portraits — we had the most perfect fall evening for their session, thanks to KC keeping her eye on the weather for us! The day of their shoot was calling for rain, so we bumped up our meeting date and it couldn’t have worked out more perfectly… just wait until you see the perfect sunset glow!
