Ashley and Brandon met in the most unusual of circumstances… at the hairdresser! Brandon was loyal to a fault to his favorite stylist, and followed her to over four different locations to maintain the perfect cut (sounds exactly like my husband!). It was at the fourth location where Ashley had just started working and knew immediately when she met him that they had a connection. They dated long distance for years when she returned to Boston, but finally moved in with one another a little over a year ago. On a romantic trip to Paris, Brandon proposed beneath the Eiffel Tower on a getaway they would clearly never forget! They even brought a special bottle of wine home with them from France that they agreed to make part of their wedding day celebration.
It was this fall that Ashley and Brandon were officially married at the iconic DC War Memorial amongst their families. They had originally planned to tie the knot in Hawaii, but after COVID changes their travel plans (I know that story all too well with a canceled trip to the islands this year as well!), they decided to get married locally without all of the fuss… a decision they both agreed was the right way to go with almost zero stress.
And I can honestly say, these two were completely relaxed throughout the entire process! When Ashley’s dress had a bit or dirt or a few wrinkles, she just laughed it off as the “natural” look. Or dark clouds rolled in, they didn’t even bat an eye. This sweet couple was simply focused on getting married to one another and celebrating the rest of their lives with one another. And that bottle of wine? It was there on the wedding day, in a custom wooden box, where they placed their vows inside to reread on their first anniversary over a glass of haut-medoc. All was well.
