Emily was one of those brides that I could tell was very detail oriented from the first time I met her. She was, after all, the same bride who utilized weather trend reports to (accurately!) predict that it wouldn’t rain on her wedding day! She and Robbie were both so excited to celebrate their nuptials at Greenville Country Club in Wilmington, DE with their friends and family, but had also dreamed of what this day would look like, literally, for years.
Emily’s soft tulle dress was truly one of my favorites that I’ve photographed this entire season. It looked like it was made for her and I mean, what is there not to love about the combination of soft tulle and lace?! The softness of her girl’s blush bridesmaid dresses were the perfect complement during getting ready photos. And don’t even get me started on that gorgeous bay window in her bridal suite — it was a Washington, DC wedding photographer’s dream! But the details didn’t stop there, as they were found throughout her entire ceremony and reception space. I loved the petal cups that she lovingly crafted by hand as well as the gorgeous table numbers, each one unique in their own way. The sugar flowers on her cake were so intricate that I would’ve easily mistaken them to be real! And when she disappeared for a few minutes during the reception just to return in a fringe dress, I immediately knew we were style-sisters!
All this to say, details clearly mattered to Emily – which you know I just loved being able to photograph that day! I also knew how much hard work she put into each and every piece and I wanted to find an incredible blog to showcase that work. Stephanie over at Fab You Bliss agreed that this was a stunning vision and wanted to share it with her readers as well! Please be sure to head over to FYB to view the full feature here!
