Joanna and Nico arrived for our sunrise engagement session in Georgetown looking stylish as can be; he was dressed in a vintage suit and she wore an adorable tulle skirt accented by those infamous red bottoms found only on Louboutin heels. At first glance, these two are quite the intimidating couple: well-dressed, attractive, and successful individuals. But looking past the exterior, you will find two people who also have hearts of gold. Not just for one another and their sweet pup, Charlie, but for everyone around them. See a funny thing happened that morning; at the end of our session, we came back to my car to grab the rest of their things… except when we arrived, there was no car. It was simply gone. We read and re-read the signs (thank you, DC, for contradicting signage) and realized it must have been towed. We sat on hold forever trying to figure out where it was taken before Nico ended up grabbing a nearby officer. Turns out, it was moved down the street (which I didn’t even know was a thing!?), but regardless, they stayed with me the entire time — even offering to cover the cost of my pretty pink ticket sitting under my wipers. I was completely embarrassed by the whole situation as that is never the note I want a session to end on, but they brushed it off entirely and didn’t seem bothered one bit. I was completely humbled by their grace and am sharing this story, not so everyone knows my stupidity, but so I can brag about what amazing and thoughtful clients I have!!! Although our love of all things pretty and designer may have brought us together, that’s not what makes these two “my” people; it’s the kindness they shower on everyone around them. 

Joanna and Nico, DC has approximately 10 months to prepare for your showstopper of a wedding with the #dreamteam!
