Garden Wedding at Oatlands Historic House

The design and styling of this wedding at Oatlands Historic Home and Gardens was inspired by the beauty of the season itself. Autumn is often most notably known for its rich hues of yellow and its muted greens leftover from summer, colors that both ultimately transform to a soft brown as the weather slowly fades. The hedged gardens at this elegant plantation home were still in full bloom as the bright sun warmed this romantic afternoon affair. Guests flew from all over the country to celebrate the nuptials of Hadley & Robert and the fall weather certainly didn’t let us down!

I was so lucky to be behind the lens to capture all of the stunning details that contributed to this insanely gorgeous wedding; just wait until you see their cake, it’s truly a show stopper! Fleur & Flour personally crafted every small element by hand, including those intricate flowers and berries which are made purely from sugar! Oh, and did I mention the florals?! The bouquet and centerpieces were both bursting equally with luscious garden roses and various organic foliage. And Hadley’s gown from Carol Hannah was unlike anything else I’ve seen before — and trust me, I see a lot of wedding dresses! I couldn’t stop photographing all the beaded details and sleeves that billowed perfectly in the wind.

But, most of all, I loved each and every moment with Hadley & Robert on their wedding day. As you can tell from the photos below, these two are so clearly in love and it was such an honor to be part of this special memory for so many in their lives!
