Ana and Mickey were married this May in a romantic gardenesque wedding at District Winery in Washington, DC. Their marriage was a day that was, as their friends so lovingly joked, a decade in the making, so the two of them couldn’t have been more excited to say “I do”!
Like so many city weddings, there were, of course, hurdles to overcome that no one could’ve planned for two years ago when they set a date! There was a professional hockey playoff game, a professional baseball game, National Police Week, and a women’s rights march all taking place on their wedding weekend! And, just for good measure, the weather threatened thunderstorms for the big day.
Those cloudy skies, however, ended up playing in our favor! Despite the proximity of District Winery to the Nationals Park, the surrounding area was nearly empty. We essentially had Yards Park to ourselves! The light drizzle forced us inside earlier than expected, but not before Ana & Mickey were able to visit with their sweet pup, George, who made an appearance in his dapper tuxedo.
Ana & Mickey’s dream wedding always included it being a fun, relaxing day and I’m happy to say they had just that! Now they are off to France and Italy to eat and drink their way through two of my favorite countries!
Enjoy a peek into their photos!
A huge thank you to these vendors for making Ana & Mickey’s wedding amazing! And to Amanda Adams Photography for being an awesome second shooter!
