Veritas Vineyard Wedding

I had a new “first” for my business this past weekend; I had a double header with a wedding on Friday at Veritas Vineyards in Charlottesville, VA and a wedding on Saturday at The Mill at Fine Creek in Powhatan, VA just outside of Richmond. I had previously shot double headers as a second shooter, but it’s a whole different experience when you’re in charge for both weddings! I truly could not have asked for two better sets of couples for this weekend — to start, both were JMU couples, but that’s just the beginning.

I met Lauren all the way back in 2007 during my sophomore year at James Madison University. She was roommates with some amazing girls I met through Rob and I liked her immediately — although, I’ll be honest, it’s hard not to like Lauren. She is an incredibly kind, thoughtful person who puts herself before others. Her sweet spirit is endearing and lovable and always puts a smile on your face. It was also at JMU where she met and fell in love with Tony. It wasn’t love at first sight during statistics class, but they couldn’t stop running into one another on campus and eventually met for lunch. They haven’t been apart since and moved to New York City after graduating.

They had plans to marry earlier this year, but as life would have it despite their careful planning, they were blessed with a baby girl in July! They wanted to enjoy their nuptials with Luna by their side and as you can see from the pictures, she made the day even more special. Lauren and Tony, I am so grateful to call you friends and am honored to have been part of your wedding day! If you ever need a babysitter, you know who to call :)
