In my opinion, there is nothing more important than connecting with a photographer who makes you feel comfortable. Sure, it’s important you love their images and their shooting style, but you also have to consider the fact that you’re spending some of the most intimate moments of your lives with this person. They will meet your friends, they will meet your family, and they will celebrate some of the most joyous occasions throughout the years.
If you’ve been following the blog for any amount of time, you likely already know KC and Andrew. I’ve been lucky enough to work with these two so many times over the past 4 years that I’ve almost lost count (if you want to see links to every one of their sessions, go back to their Airlie maternity session post where I shared a link to each one!). I’ve now had the privilege of documenting them for the first time as parents and it was, simply put, a beautiful session that left me feeling so fulfilled. Their sweet baby girl, Harper, was just over a week old when we met for our shoot and she fell right into sync with our well-established rhythms. And Monti, their adorable dog, was the perfect big brother and loved being in front of the camera more than any other pup I’ve ever met! Sessions with these two always feel so natural and peaceful and this one was no exception — yes, even with a baby and dog in the mix!
KC & Andrew, as always, it’s such a joy to be part of your lives. I can’t wait to exchange travel tips with one another, as you know we’ll be taking our toddlers and babies across Europe! And I cannot wait to watch you both grow into your new roles as parents — Monti and Harper are so lucky to have you!
