You actually might remember Abby and Matt if you’ve been following ALP since the early days (early, early days, like close to day one!). When I first realized I wanted to turn my passion into a business, I wanted to shoot anything and everything — families, babies, couples, wedding, pets — you name it, I probably shot it. It was exciting and overwhelming but I quickly found out my true love was in working with couples; I loved hearing their stories and watching the next phase unfold right before my eyes. These two were actually the FIRST couple ever who let me photograph them! I initially met Abby back in 2012 — I was an AGP fan girl and volunteered to model for her as she practiced film. 3.5 years later, I am still an AGP fan girl except now I actually know what aperture means :)
Abby’s spirit has always been what has drawn me in to her business; don’t get me wrong, her photography is absolutely incredible, but her love for this industry literally leaps off the pages of her blog. I always feel such a connection when I’m reading her posts, as if speaking with an old friend. We share of love of European travel (check out her print shop!) and all things classic. Oh, and she loves Harry Potter and gets references to pretty much every funny show/movie so that’s what Michael Scott would call a win/win/win.
Abby, thank you for being a constant source of inspiration and helping with my seemingly never ending questions!! I’ve loved watching you grow over the years, each wedding and anniversary session better than the last. and And Matt, thank you for being such a willing and patient model, and for lending Abby to our community of photographers :) :) You two are truly gems and being your anniversary photographer was such a privilege!
