Maddy & Daniel’s Metropolitan Club wedding in Washington, DC turned out to be one of my favorite black tie affairs from the entire year. From the moment I arrived and saw her beautiful, soft pink Chanel perfume and classic pearl bracelet, I knew it was going to be a stunning affair. She donned a simple lace dress with a low back and had her hair elegantly coiffed to perfectly show it off. The marble floors of the Fairmont made for an ideal spot to meet her groom for the first time, he in his dapper tuxedo. The three of us and their wedding party then headed off to one the best spots in the city for portraits, the Georgetown waterfront and canals. Their large entourage of black and white popped against the cloudy day, drawing in eyes (and cameras!) from all the nearby tourists. After their romantic ceremony at the church where her grandparents were wed, we headed to the historic private club right outside the gates of the White House itself. Maddy’s design of gold and cream was complemented by the hanging chandeliers and grand piano. Dancing filled the room after dinner as guests mingled with friends, old and new.
I cannot thank the editors over at The Black Tie Bride enough for featuring Maddy and Daniel’s elegant DC wedding — there is truly no other blog I could imagine getting to relive their wedding day! It is an honor to have my work on your amazing site. Please head over to BTB to see more here!
And this feature would not have been possible without the all the hard work from Maddy and Daniel’s amazing team of vendors!
