Longview Gallery DC Wedding

Ashley and Bryan were married Saturday during a stunning fête at Longview Gallery in Washington, DC. The gallery is essentially a blank canvas (art pun intended) — the walls are decorated with changing works, but the rest of the gallery is wide open so each couple can make it their own and totally unique to their likes. These two made lots of room for dancing and created a gorgeous candle-lit walkway leading to an awesome photobooth and second bar (genius, right?!).

Before the day got started, I stopped at for a quick hot chocolate (it was one of those weird, chilly October days!) to warm up and gather myself. I headed next door to their hotel and before I knew it, it was time for their first look! Since I had all my bags, I asked their super sweet bridal party to please bring them down to the shuttle before leaving so we could all head to the next spot. I got on the shuttle and it hit me — I didn’t ask for anyone to grab my laptop! I headed to the back to ask Ashley if she wouldn’t mind having someone who stayed behind grab it. No luck, it couldn’t be found anywhere. That delicious hot chocolate popped into my head and I knew, I left it behind. Without missing a beat, Ashley calmly picks up her phone and with a smile on her face says, “let’s call the shop!”. Before I knew it, her mom was on her way to pick up my forgotten computer and bring it to Longview Gallery for me. I had to share this story, not to highlight my big flub, but to highlight the incredible type of people Ashley and Bryan both are. On their wedding day, they didn’t think twice about taking time to help me, one of their wedding vendors. I am so lucky to work with some of the kindest, most thoughtful clients and will never forget that story (or my laptop again for that matter).

Bryan and Ashley, I hope you two are enjoying the warm beach of Puerto Rico as husband and wife!! I know little Gorbi misses you and can’t wait to see his parents! xx
