Since the first time I sat down with Stephanie, I have been so excited for her and Patrick’s winery wedding at Weatherlea Farm and Vineyard in Leesburg, VA. She described the venue and it was like nowhere I had ever shot before — an old, rustic barn with a small lake surrounded by trees meets a classic Loudoun County vineyard, complete with two llamas and a vintage truck. This is one of the benefits of being a Washington DC wedding photographer. There’s so much diversity in our area that one weekend you could be shooting a black tie wedding with the cityscape as your backdrop, while the next week you could be shooting a beautiful country-chic barn wedding. This wedding really was the best of both worlds and Stephanie’s attention to detail perfectly tied both ends together. Gorgeous florals graced every table and stunning chalkboard calligraphy was at every corner — these two truly left no detail unnoticed!
The atmosphere of the wedding was so relaxed from beginning to end — I love how much emphasis Stephanie and Patrick put on making the day about joining together two families and enjoying as much time with one another as possible. Because, really, isn’t that what it’s all about!? Sure, things like the warm cider and donuts were an adorable touch, but watching these two work together to create the day of their dreams just proves how strong their partnership already was and will continue to be through marriage. Thank you Stephanie and Patrick for allowing me to be a part of your special day!
A huge thank you to these vendors for making Stephanie & Patrick’s wedding amazing! And to Emily Marie Photography for being an awesome second shooter!
