No sooner did Krista and Steven meet, did they get separated by nearly 2,000 miles. After their first real night of talking in the summer of 2012, Steven admitted to Krista that he was considering quitting his job and moving to Aspen, CO. She encouraged him to follow his dream and the next time they chatted, he told her it turned into a reality. They spent as much time as possible with one another before he made the big move, but finally the time came and after their brief period of dating, they were forced into something long distance. Neither minded, as they promised to stay in touched and ended up talking daily. The following May, Steven was returning to Washington, DC to attend his sister’s wedding and asked Krista to be his dated. She quickly agreed and was delighted when he revealed that post-wedding he would be returning to Virginia for good. They’ve been happily dating ever since, until this past summer when Steven surprised Krista in their apartment. He had the place covered in flowers and candles, just waiting for her arrival. She walked in the door, completely stunned as Steven dropped to one knee to propose.
Coincidentally enough, these two are now moving back to Colorado, along with their adorable puppy, Aspen — don’t worry, they said they are only going to be slightly embarrassed by her name post-move ;) I am incredibly grateful to their sister, Ashley, of Ashley Relvas Photography, who is an amazing photographer herself that recommended me to these two! Recommendations are always such an honor, but even more so when they come from someone as talented as this sweet lady!
Steven & Krista, I hope the big move went well and that the three of you are all settled in your new home! I cannot wait to celebrate with you next October at Lake Anna — hopefully we can kayak you out to the dock again for some amazing photos!
