After you’ve proposed to your bridesmaids, the group planning of the bachelorette party and bridal shower begins! Typically this is all led by your Maid of Honor, the one you’ve chosen to stand to your right as you marry the person of your dreams. The one who will fluffy your dress and carry your veil and even help you head to the bathroom (trust me, it’s a process in a wedding dress!). And while she certainly isn’t the couple that is being honored, she will likely be going above and beyond for the next year or so ensuring you have a perfect wedding day experience which deserves a bit of recognition! Here are a few ways to help her stand out!
+ Find her a slightly different dress than the rest of your bridesmaids. Whether that’s a different color, neckline, or length is up to you!
+ Add a bit of flair to her outfit — anything like unique headband or a sparkly belt would certainly be noticed!
+ Order a slightly larger bouquet so it stands out from the rest of your ladies.
+ Everyone wearing their hair down? Have hers put up!
+ If you’re going with knee length dresses, how about finding a fun pair of shoes that show off her personality?
+ When all your ladies are heading down the aisle with a groomsmen on their arm, send her down alone for a moment to shine.
+ Ensure that her special title in noted during the wedding party entrances into the reception. Bonus points if you play her favorite song!
If your MOH is one that doesn’t love being in the spotlight, some of these options might actually make her feel out of place! Be sure to consider her personality — perhaps some one-on-one time or a special gift is the way to go. You know her best, so do what feels right; just be sure to spoil her like she has done for you!
