Colleen & Adam’s rustic chic wedding at Purcell Friendship Hall in Hershey, PA was a dream wedding day! If you’ve been following my work for a little while now, you’ll know that while I’m primarily a Washington DC wedding photographer, Hershey, PA holds a special place in my heart. I grew up there and still frequently visit my parents who still live in the area and work for Hershey. But enough about me, this was Colleen & Adam’s day! Everything was perfectly planned from beginning to end, and despite August’s normally unbearable temperatures on the east coast, we were spared the humidity and enjoyed the warm sun shining from the bright blue skies. These two were also incredibly lucky to be surrounded by such a wonderful wedding party; twelve people who of course enjoyed the fun of the day, but truly focused on making sure the bride and groom had everything they needed. But they were well taken care of — Colleen & Adam even scheduled in some time to head to Adventure Sports after the ceremony (one perk of doing a first look — free cocktail hour!) where they messed around on the go kart track and batting cages before heading back to the reception.
As you may remember from their engagement session, I’ve known Colleen since we were in elementary school — this the end of this wedding is bittersweet for me! I’m so happy to see her married to the love of her life, but am sad that all the planning and working with one another is over! Colleen, it’s been amazing getting to know you even better over the past year and half and I am just beyond excited for your new journey with Adam — wishing you both nothing but the best!
