While I don’t normally have the availability on my calendar to shoot maternity or newborn sessions, I do keep a few slots open for past ALP clients who may be interested throughout the year! So if you’ve been following me on Instagram or the blog for the past few years, you may just recognize the couple in these maternity photos taken at Great Marsh Estate.  I first photographed Joanna and Nico with their sweet pup, Charlie, during their Georgetown engagement session and then again at their Washington National Cathedral wedding with a reception at Running Hare Vineyard. I even had the pleasure of capturing their intimate Catholic ceremony amongst their immediate families in the days leading up to the wedding, where they let me take them all over DC for portraits at both the Capitol and Jefferson Memorial!

As you can probably tell, having been around these two time and time again makes them feel more like family every time I have the pleasure of photographing them. So you can imagine my delight when Joanna broke the wonderful news that they were expecting a baby boy this summer! I was over the moon for their growing family and simply cannot wait to see these two as parents. Based on their doting interactions with their families and friends, I can tell they are going to be naturals and take on parenting with the most loving approach.

Luckily for me, I get the honor of seeing Joanna & Nico as parents in just a few short weeks for their in home newborn session with their adorable son!
