Kathleen and Will were married at the Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, MD, Washington, DC’s premier golf course, during one of the most classic and gorgeous black tie weddings! Their November day was blessed with clear skies and warmth despite it being nearly December. As Kathleen dressed and put on her veil, everyone in the room couldn’t stop commenting how she looked like a Disney princess. She laughed as we headed down to her first look with Will, mentioning he was going to be extra surprised as she rarely was found outside of sweatpants and almost never in makeup. See, I hadn’t known Kathleen long, but in spite of being one of the most stunning brides, it was truly her incredibly sweet personality and thoughtfulness that took center stage.

Kathleen and Will’s amazing wedding day was happening out of fate/dumb luck/whatever you want to call it — but you truly have to hear how these two met for that to make sense. Will was in freshman biology class at Liberty University when his friend Steve dared him to text a phone number that had been scribbled on his desk. Unbeknownst to Kathleen, her friend Kari had jokingly written her number there a few days prior; she received several text messages that week, but only responded to one: Will’s. They continued to chat and slowly developed a relationship before they even had a chance to meet. One day when Will was feeling particularly bold, he found Kathleen on Facebook and sent her a friend request. They had already felt a connection, but after meeting for the first time felt more of an attraction. All of these seemingly innocent, fun gestures turned out to serve a greater purpose of bringing this amazing couple together. 

Kathleen and Will, I am so grateful to have been part of your wedding day and thank Hayley for brining us together! I hope you had an amazing honeymoon and are simply enjoying married life with one another!
