Emily and Brian’s Chesapeake Bay Beach Club wedding was one of those days where, the moment you arrive, you already know everything is going to unfold perfectly. As you may remember from their Great Marsh engagement photos earlier this year, Emily is a DC wedding photographer herself. It turns out, however, that in addition to being a photographer, Emily is also a self-taught musician and released an EP on iTunes! All this to say, it’s clear she is obviously insanely talented at whatever she tries and would be nothing but the best at wedding planning. When arriving in her bridal suite, all details were packed neatly in a corner, ready for photographing. She was calm and collected without a single note of nerves lingering in the air. As we got her into her dress with Sue by her side, that beautiful smile never fell from her face. And to be honest? That smile was there all day — as she met Brian on during their first look, as she was walked down the aisle by her father, and as she danced the night away with her friends and family. This was a bride who knew how to let her vendor team take over after all of her planning was done and truly got to ENJOY the moment of marrying the man of her dreams.
Brian, unsurprisingly, mirrored Emily’s joy and excitement through his own quiet demeanor; as I chatted with him just moments before the first look, you could simply tell that seeing and marrying his bride was the only thing on his mind that day. While Brian may not be as musically inclined as Emily, he is, however, equally as determined. Brian is currently studying to be a lawyer in addition to working full time, which is, undoubtedly, no easy task. Between the two of them, one thing about this couple is certain: they will not fail when they are together. Emily and Brian’s tenacious drive and unyielding bond pretty much guarantees them a lifetime of success as married partners and I am so excited to watch their love (and careers!) grow over the coming years.
E & B, I can’t tell you what an honor it is that you chose me to document your wedding day. I loved spending the day meeting the people who supported your dreams and made you the couple you are today. I hope Mexico has been wonderful to you!
A huge thank you to these vendors for making Emily & Brian’s wedding amazing! And to Emily Marie Photography for being an awesome second shooter!
