The Washington, DC wedding season is usually broken up into three parts: spring, which is from April-May, summer, which is June-July, and fall, which is September-November. Sure, there will be a handful of weddings in the other months, but those are the peak season given the weather. This August, I didn’t have a single wedding which was a nice time to catch up on things that fall by the wayside April – July; when I’m busy shooting, I just focus on giving my client’s the best experience possible which includes getting their galleries out as soon as possible! But seeing as I was off all August, I took care of submitting quite a few of those spring and summer weddings I had just shot and I am so excited to share the first one that was featured over on one of my favorite local blogs, United With Love!
Chris and Michelle’s Carnegie Institution for Science wedding was a classically DC affair — think stunning, white stone architecture complete with lush florals and a neutral color palette. I absolutely loved photographing this showstopper and knew it would be a huge inspiration for other like-minded brides and grooms getting married in the District of Columbia. Christina, of Happily Hitched Events, ensured that the entire wedding day went off without a hitch (pun intended =P). And with gorgeous greenery and floral designs at every turn by my favorite, Yen of Chic Girl Flowers, you know the rooms were over-the-top gorgeous!
Please be sure to head over to United with Love to view the full feature on their site here! And be sure to check out all of the vendor’s involved in making this dream wedding day a reality — links to their website are at the bottom of the post!
