When celebrating NINE years of marital bliss, what better place in the District of Columbia than the Anderson House at the Society of the Cincinnati? It’s touted as a “Gilded Age” mansion from the 1900’s that sits right in the heart of DC, surrounded by modern day hotels, apartments, and nightlife. You’d never think to look for it, but once you stumble past those epic iron gates and black carriage doors, you know you’ve found something special and unique.
Special and unique could also be used to describe the relationship between Ariel and Eric. As I mentioned above, these two celebrated nine years of marriage this past June and wanted to celebrate with a photo session — sans kids! These are two loving and doting parents to their wonderful children, but even as someone who has only been doing this mom thing for less than a year, it’s easy to see how your marriage can get pushed to the side in honor of supporting your children. Those first few months and years, you are in nothing but survival mode and I’m certain that doesn’t change down the line. Sure, the day-to-day challenges may look different as they get older, but you never stop fighting to ensure you’re providing them the best lives possible. Ariel and Eric are no exception to this rule, as she quit her full-time “9-5” job to support her passion of running her own beauty business in 2011 with Eric’s support. In just seven years, her company has grown exponentially and has become the go-to team (Ariel Lewis, LLC — check them out!) for brides and celebrities alike. They say things like this take a village, and that couldn’t be more true. Eric is Ariel’s village and TOGETHER they have enjoyed nine wonderful years of marriage, two children, and a booming business — hello, power couple.
