No one who has ever helped organized a styled shoot will tell you that it’s easy — it’s truly a labor of love born from the desire to create something beautiful with your dream team. You have to be fully prepared to commit to it as you do any other client but I promise, the end result is always so, so worth it! Every single vendor put so much time and detail in to their part; I can’t wait for you to see all the hand calligraphed elements, the stunning florals and invitation suite, one delicious cake, and, of course, the dress. Our model, Mary, wore a stunning Hayley Paige gown full of ruffles and sequins. In particular, I love the open back paired with the high neck. She also donned a pair of Manolo Blahnik heels that are bridal, with a modern twist!
This is one of my favorite shoots to date; I had been dying to photograph a session at Swannanoa Palace outside of Charlottesville, VA and thought, what better opportunity! While I normally find myself shooting in the classic white marble of Washington, DC, finding this beauty elsewhere was a wonderful change of pace. Charlottesville is such a unique city because it’s home to so many different venues. On one hand, you can find an endless amount of wineries, breweries, and even cideries. There are also modern ballrooms and unique locations that are hidden gems like this one! For other events from Charlottesville, check out this Pippin Hill wedding, this Veritas Vineyard wedding, or this King Family Vineyard wedding!
