Upon my arrival at King Family Vineyard outside of Charlottesville, VA, I was immediately greeted by Julie and her bridesmaids who were already celebrating the day after. They were all just filled with joy — not at all stressed, but instead enjoying the day and soaking in every single minute. She and her husband to be, David, were so welcoming and accommodating, it made the day a blast. I remember the entire wedding party watching from afar as these two got ready for their first look. David couldn’t contain his emotions as he saw his beautiful bride for the first time; Julie was just overcome with excitement! 

We headed to their church just outside of Harrisonburg where Julie grew up and dreamed of being married; despite the long drive, traffic was in our favor making for a quick return for sunset at the gorgeous winery. I know I speak for both them and myself when I saw we didn’t want to miss the sun setting over those sweeping views of the Blue Ridge Mountains! Just as we were wrapping up the last of our portraits, I almost spoiled Julie’s big surprise for David: they weren’t just having a regular old wedding cake, they were having donut bar! Julie just laughed it off until the big reveal a few hours later. The night ended with a stunning sparkler exit as these two drove off for the first time as bride and groom. 

Julie and David, I don’t even need to wish you the best because I know you both already have found it :) I hope you had an amazing, sun-filled honeymoon in the Riviera Maya!
