Kristina and Alden’s District Winery wedding was held during the peak of fall here in Washington, DC. Everywhere from their waterfront hotel on the wharf to the Jefferson Memorial for portraits, we were surrounded by an array of colors only rivaled by the hues of Kristina’s bouquet designed by Emily of Love Blooms DC. Her bridesmaids stunned in a variety of classic black gowns and Alden boasted both groomsmen AND groomswomen, so trust me when I say this was one stylish wedding party! Although there was a bit of fall chill in the air, I didn’t hear a single complaint from this group while we traveled from location to location. In fact, if I had to describe this entire day in one word, it would absolutely be “joy”. These two, their families, and their entire wedding party exuded that emotion from beginning to end. 

The happiness of this group was just one of the things that made this wedding day a breeze. I also had the pleasure of working this wedding with Claire and Liz of Claire Duran Events and they had the day planned to a “t”. No detail went unnoticed and their calm demeanor radiated to those around them. The staff at District Winery was also SO accommodating and willing to help us get beautiful shots at any cost. All this to say, Kristina and Alden clearly took the time to surround themselves with some amazing vendors on their big day and definitely paid off!
