A few weeks back, you might remember this gorgeous engagement session that I posted in Georgetown featuring Katie, Matt, and their adorable little pup, Linus. I was lucky enough to have this shoot picked up by my favorite DC wedding blog, United With Love! I am so honored they chose to feature this engagement; it is one of my first ever engagement shoots (I had done a lot of married couples in the past, but not many engagements), so it is really special to me. Plus it is my very first shoot with a dog — my favorite accessory a couple can bring!

Katie is also a very special person in my life! She and I met when we were freshman at James Madison University. We were actually were attending a roommate mixer because we were applying for off campus housing; I had one spot open in my apartment for four and she was looking for a spot to reside. The setup worked out perfectly and for the next year we had a blast living with one another. If you’ve seen our pictures, which thankfully have been hidden from the internet, you would know that is simply an understatement. Katie was like a sister to me and even took me home to hang out with her family in PA! We shared clothes, beauty secrets, and real secrets. I care for her so much and am beyond excited to see her marry the love of her life. She is one of the kindest (and stylish!) people you could ever meet and I am lucky to have had her in my life!
