Having a wedding or session featured on the world’s largest wedding blog, Style Me Pretty, is always such an honor. I’ve had about 1-2 per year on this prestigious blog and it never fails to be a source of anticipation and excitement watching the feature go live! 

There was a brief period of time where this was almost no longer the case — the blog was owned by a large corporation who no longer felt it was needed and planned to shut it down for good! They weren’t even going to keep it alive as an archive; the whole thing was going to essentially be erased from the internet which would have been a huge loss to the wedding industry. After all, this IS the world’s largest wedding resource and been source of inspiration for hundreds and thousands of brides and grooms over the past decade (and then some!). Luckily, the blog was rescued by their original creator at the last minute and still exists today! So, all that being said, it makes it even MORE wonderful to be featured on here among so many other great artists!

For this ‘Figs and Blues’ shoot at Stone Tower Winery in Leesburg, VA, the creative mind of Stephanie from SRS Events dreamed up the entire day and executed it flawlessly — as always! I was lucky enough to be the photographer for the shoot and got to photograph not one, but two of my past clients! You may remember KC and Andrew from the NMWA wedding in DC (that was featured on the COVER of Washingtonian Weddings Magazine) as well as Emily’s Chesapeake Bay Beach Club wedding (featured My Eastern Shore Weddings!).
