Stone Manor Country Club Wedding

It started with a ~~chair~~ rubber ducky. It should come as no surprise that the theme of Alicia and Ian’s gorgeous wedding at Stone Manor Country Club in Frederick, Maryland was “Love is an Adventure” seeing as their love story started with an epic one. Alicia accepted when Ian, a near stranger, invited her on a road trip to Pittsburgh to go see the traveling rubber ducky. Not just any old duck either; this one was a gigantic, 40 foot spectacle on the waterfront in downtown. That trip built the foundation of their relationship as, well, hours in the car alone together tends to do just that!

But that trip was just the beginning of their adventures with one another. Over the past three years, they’ve visited multiple cities across the US, as well as Brazil, Germany, Norway, and, of course, France, where Ian proposed at the top of the Eiffel Tower! I loved seeing how they tied each of these trips into their unique centerpieces with personal touches everywhere you looked, from the cake and card box all the way to their escort cards! Alicia clearly has a knack for detail that was perfectly executed by her talented planner, Sara Reynolds Events.

For their amazing honeymoon, they are leaving in December to visit Fiji, New Zealand and Australia (I think this is the point where I asked to be packed in your suitcase, please….) and I have absolutely no doubt that their journeys together will not end there. Alicia and Ian, I can’t wait to follow your travels together over the coming years! Thank you for allowing me to come on this adventure with you for the big day — enjoy that honeymoon of a lifetime!
