Kristen and Brooks tied the knot during a beautiful Meridian House wedding in Washington, DC this May. It was one of those perfect spring days where the weather isn’t too hot or too cold and the sky is a stunning shade of blue that ends with a romantic sunset.
While these two always planned to get married in 2021, they still had their fair share of hurdles to overcome, especially in the weeks leading up to their big day. The Mayor simultaneously increased gathering limits to the delight of many while also enforcing an unprecedented ban on both dancing… and standing!… during a wedding reception. Thankfully that was quickly overturned and these two were able to share the evening celebrating with their closest friends and family. I’d be remiss not to give a special nod to their amazing planner, Jamie, with Cherry Blossom Events, who handled the many changes with ease and pulled off the day without a hitch.
Kristen and Brooks, I genuinely feel so lucky to be the wedding photographer you selected to document this wonderful occasion. It’s clear how much the two of you are loved for your kind and caring nature and you’ve surrounded yourselves so many others just like you (you definitely win best wedding party of the year!). Wishing the two of you so much joy as you enter this new phase of your lives together!
A huge thank you to these vendors for making Brooks & Kristen’s wedding amazing! And to Jessica Green Photography for being an awesome second shooter!
