When Lauren initially planned for us to photograph a couple’s session for Magdalena and Scott, it was supposed to be just that… a couple’s session. However, like many of us, they arrived in Europe a few days prior so they could travel and explore. What Magdalena didn’t know at the time was that Scott was planning to propose while they were on vacation! He popped the question to her the day before our shoot and so this couple’s session quickly became an engagement session. And really, could you find a more perfect place to have your engagement session than the South of France!?!
We started just outside of the small town of Grignan in a newly blooming lavender field that boasted the most beautiful view of the city. The architecture of the area is a very soft white stone that is literally any photographer’s dream, so as you can imagine we quickly moved into the streets to capture the beauty of those as well. Magdalena’s cornflower lace dress from BHLDN was the perfect complement to the pale blue shutters that accented seemingly every building. As we slowly worked our way up towards the castle (yes, castle, because… France!!!) a small crowd started to follow us as well! It turns out, they thought these two were celebrities, so their session provided quite the excitement for this little town. And with one look at the images on my blog post below, it’s easy to see how that could have been mistaken by a random stranger on the streets of France!
It was such a joy to have the opportunity to capture photos of this sweet couple mere hours of their real engagement! Now go enjoy these stunning images because they are too pretty to keep to myself!
