When I think of weddings that really resonate with me, one I always come back to is Taylor and Jake’s National Cathedral wedding. Taylor is the epitome of grace and all things chic. As I mentioned in her original post, while she may look like she just stepped out of a Ralph Lauren ad, she is also incredibly kind, smart, and thoughtful. Jake shares all of these attributes as well, which makes them a perfect pair. Meeting their like-minded families proved that they were both raised by strong sets of parents who helped mold them into the people that they are today.
Their wedding day, as a whole, was nothing short of a beautiful affair full of joy and happiness. Despite it being one of the coldest, windiest days of the year, they took all of their portraits — even family! — outdoors to take advantage of the stunning architecture at the Cathedral. This venue holds a special place in Taylor’s life; her parents were married in the exact same spot years earlier. The reception The Four Seasons held many personal traditions as well, including a Native American wedding blessing and speeches from friends and family. The night, of course, closed out with dancing to music from their live band while guests sipped on their signature cocktail
This classic, black-tie DC wedding was one of my favorite of the entire season, so you can imagine how delighted I was to relive the day on a fantastic wedding blog! The best thing about blogs are that you can reach entirely new audiences so ALP brides and grooms are inspiring others outside of just my reach, which I love! So please head over to United with Love so you can view all of Taylor and Jake’s National Cathedral wedding feature! As always, it’s such an honor to be featured!
