Morais Vineyard Wedding

This past summer, I was so excited to finally get to photograph a wedding at the stunning Morais Vineyards & Winery in Bealeton, VA — just an hour or so outside of Washington, DC. I’ve visited here several times for wine tastings (they are delicious!) and was simply in awe at the beauty of the place — you immediately feel like you are transplanted to an Italian villa deep in the heart of Tuscany, Italy! Calla and Kyle’s black tie affair was the perfect theme for this modern and classy venue; Calla, the stunning bride, truly outdid herself when it came to all the details in a classic color palette of black and white with gold accents. The big surprise came when her bridesmaids got to see her jaw dropping dress for the first time — it was a beautiful tulle Lazaro gown with a fully beaded bodice that even Cinderella would have been envious of; she slipped it on and truly looked like something out of a fairy tale. It glimmered in the light as she walked down the aisle to her very own Prince Charming.

As heavy summer storms rolled in throughout the early evening, they didn’t damper the spirits of the loving couple. Their friends gathered around them on the dance floor and their family told beautiful stories of their relationship during toasts. The rain clouds broke ever so briefly to allow for some lovely portraits of this newlywed couple on the terrace outside the dance floor. It was an absolutely stunning day and I hope you enjoy some of the highlights I’m sharing below!
