A few weeks ago, I headed down to Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, VA — about 3 hours outside Washington, DC — to shoot a wedding with one of the sweetest people I met at Creative at Heart this past January, Anna. Before all this, however, I had a coaching session with Katelyn James who told me over and over how much I reminded her of Anna in both our mannerisms and appearance — it is always kinda funny being compared to someone you never met, but once we finally did, we hit it off immediately so Katelyn must have known what she was talking about :) :)
There were so many amazing things to photograph at this wedding it’s really hard to know where to begin! From the Bridesmaids personally monogrammed shirts, to the historic colonial Williamsburg streets, to the epic organ backdrop of the church, this wedding was a stunner from beginning to end. Just looking at the pictures now, it’s truly amazing how many different scenes we were able to photograph. It’s almost as if this was three different venues combined into one. The spring blossoms made it seem as if we were walking through the Cherry blossoms along the Tidal Basin in DC and the brick paved streets provided a classical scene for the wedding party portraits. We were even able to take some sunset pictures by the water, which I was totally not expecting! This was such a wonderful experience and I’m so grateful to Anna for having me along for this stunning wedding; I absolutely cannot wait any longer to share it — this is a new favorite, so enjoy!
